I’m Matt Olds, LISW-S (Ohio license #I.901905-SUPV). I’m an independently licensed clinical social worker providing trauma-informed, strengths-based, recovery-oriented therapy for men, fathers, individuals hoping to become fathers, and anyone seeking a more grounded and meaningful life.
I’m trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Stage-WiseTreatment. My approach is transparent, collaborative, and centered on what matters most to you. I integrate mindfulness and body-based awareness into my work, helping clients reconnect with their whole selves (mind, body, and values) as part of the healing process.
I believe in therapy because I’ve experienced its impact personally. Over different seasons of my life, I’ve turned to therapy to navigate challenges like depression, anxiety, major life transitions, and healing from trauma in high-control religious environments.
I’ve been married for 20 years and am the proud dad of two amazing daughters. I love good coffee, walking/hiking, heartfelt conversations, and listening to /playing music. (I used to sing and play guitar at community events and coffee shops — Maybe I’ll get back to it one day.)
My goal is to partner with you in creating space for healing, clarity, and wholeness...to help you find steadiness in your story and move toward the life you want to live.
